Es la recopilación de imágenes y anécdotas acaecidas en esos días y realizada a través del fotolog. Espero que os guste.


Estamos de vuelta

Ya estamos en casa.Por detras dejamos unos días fantásticos, menos cansados que otros años y siempre rebosantes de buena música.Y por delante nos queda una tarea muy ardua para gestionar correctamente todo el material que nos traemos.Hoy sólo dejamos un par de apuntes:

1. Que me dió mucha pena el salir por última vez del recinto del Primavera Sound.
2. Que quizás este haya sido el 'mejor Primavera Sound' de los que he vivido hasta el momento.Mañana seguro que más. ;-D


Yo La Tengo

Dejo la mini-crónica que he escribí con ayuda de Eva en el foro del Primavera Sound..... valga esta imagen como resumen de lo bien que nos lo pasamos. ;-D

"Creo que es la primera vez que tengo que mirar más de dos veces para atrás antes de dejar por última vez el recinto del festival. Salgo con una impresión inmejorable y difícil de olvidar.

Puedo decir con rotundidad que he vivido alguno de los mejores momentos musicales de toda mi vida.

Sin ir más lejos, blanco me quedé cuando en medio del concierto de YLT, Ira Kaplan para de tocar y me señala para que les saque una foto. Ira llama a Georgia y a James y realizan un posado para que mi cámara les inmortalice. Igualmente insuperable la forma que tienen de interpretar sus canciones en directo, hacen sentir la música de una forma única.

Y como disfruté en el escenario Pitchfork el sábado: Cristal Stilts, Vivian Girls y los Pains. Combinación insuperable.

También destacar la extraordinaria actuación tanto de Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, qué corto se hizo su concierto, y qué frescura trajeron al festival con sus instrumentos, voces, actitud y canciones. Así como de Michael Nyman en el Auditori, le he visto muchas veces y pensé que esta sería una más, pero qué equivocado estaba. La experiencia MBV en el auditori impresionante, los asientos retumbaban y a la mañana siguiente todavía continuaban los efectos de su descarga sobre mis oidos.

Y que decir de Neil Young… .menudo reposo que nos ha dejado. Sus canciones saben a gloria, a un pasado de referencia del que muchos otros grupos han mamado. Esencia de todo y su actuación fue necesaria para entender muchas cosas. Curioso fue ver cómo coreaban las canciones el tío de Deerhunter y la Vivian Girl rubia en la zona VIP.

Por último no dejar de comentar que la organización fue perfecta, no es necesario achacarle nada negativo ya que los pequeños problemas (olores, colas de los tickets, …) se esfuman ante lo bien que ha salido todo. ¡! Enhorabuena ¡!

P.D: viva la pulsera VIP, las carreras de escenario a escenario, la cerveza gratis y el Juggermeister ese!

P.D 2: Que curioso el ver a tanta gente a las 15:30 el sábado haciendo ya cola en el Auditori o las colas que se formaron el viernes a partir de las 15 para entrar en el recinto del festival. Esto otros años no había pasado.

Evidentemente no grabé nada de Yo La Tengo... creo que uno de los pocos grupos en los que la experiencia de asistir a sus conciertos trasciende cualquier intento de grabación o reproducción.

Cuando un grupo te gusta...

... no hay que escatimar nada para conseguir estar ahí en primera fila y no perderse detalle.

Y estando en esa primera fila sentando tranquilamente se pueden tomar fotos como la que hoy presento.

Quizás no concibo otra forma de ver un concierto que me gusta... me encanta palpar de primera mano el ambiente que genera el artista, sin intermediarios entre su música y mis oidos o mi vista. Así también puedo capturar videos o imágenes... para que todo aquel que no lo conozca pueda a posteriori valorar su calidad artística.

Además, un pequeño nerviosismo siempre crece en mí interior mucho antes del concierto y hasta que no estoy de los primeros en la cola para acceder a la sala no se me pasa.

Así soy yo y creo que dificilmente puedo cambiar en este aspecto. ;-D

Encuentros en el PS 2009

Otro de los alicientes de ir a un festival o de asistir a un concierto, es poder compartir con los amiguetes una cerveza, algo de comer, un paseo o una buena charla de mil y un temas.

Y es que una de las cosas que te ofrece el ser un aficionado a la música es que tienes la oportunidad de conocer a otras personas que sienten o comparten esa devoción contigo.

Aqui dejo un conglomerado de algunas imágenes que fuimos recogiendo en el PS de este año... en donde podeis ver cual es mi sitio predilecto para comer en el festival o como el día da paso a la noche según se van sucediendo los conciertos.

El año que viene repetimos.... a ver si mañana dejo otra perspectiva similar del recinto. ;-D

Recinto Primavera Sound

Hoy os dejo unas cuantas instantaneas del recinto del Primevera Sound.Entre las imagenes podemos destacar varias cosas:

1. Las nuevas máquinas para conseguir los tickets de bebida y las entradas para el Auditori

2. La cola que normalmente se forma para entrar en el Auditori

3. La recepción que te hacen para validar tu pulsera al entrar al festival.

4. Las tiendas que se ubican en la entrada y en las que venden discos y camisetas, o bien te regalan revistas, o son de scannerfm o myspace, o te dan bebida por la patilla....

5. Visión general de la zona VIP.

6. El escenario Pitchfork, uno de nuestros esenciales en el festival de este año.

También he dejado una muestra para que veais que los niños y niñas también tienen su apartado en el festival.

En resumen... pedazo de festival... aunque me esté volviendo repetitivo. ;-D

Y ya para finalizar no podía terminar esta serie de imágenes del Primavera Sound sin destacar algunas fotillos de los grupos.

Es cierto que 3 de ellas son de Yo La Tengo... es lo que tiene ser un fan incondicional.

Minutos Musicales: Casiotone For The Painfully Alone

parece mentira que un afamado artista como es Owen Ashworth esté pasando tan desapercibido por la escena independiente. Desde 1999 ha publicado 9 discos, confiriendo a sus canciones y a sus directos una impronta personal difícil de comparar.

Owen se esconde tras diversos sintetizadores y pianos (a pesar de ser enorme) y comienza majestuosamente a desgranar sus composiciones. Limpias de contenido pero exageradamente complejas de ejecución teniendo en cuenta que él es el único que toca. Su directo acaba conmoviendo si te dejas llevar por sus ritmos electrónicos. Deja traslucir un inequívoco sentido de lo que quiere hacer y de lo que significa su música. Hoy os presentamos su último disco, uno más que va creando el mito que algún día surgirá de forma mediática.

Casiotone for the Painfully Alone es el proyecto solista del músico estadounidense Owen Ashworth (nacido el año 1979) de San Francisco, California. Comenzó este proyecto luego de musicalizar una película cuando era estudiante escolar en 1997. Compone su música utilizando simples teclados a pila y otros instrumentos electrónicos. Ha salido de gira con otros aclamados artistas de la escena indie como Cass McCombs, Kill me Tomorrow, The Rapture, y Xiu Xiu.

Su estilo musical se caracteriza por un sonido electrónico pausado y por sus letras sinceras. Su sonido se acerca al lo-fi al indie, y al alone-electro (genero moderno de música electrónica). En su disco Etiquette Ashworth amplía su horizonte musical y agrega algunos instrumentos análogos consiguiendo un sonido más orgánico.

Minutos Musicales: Dark Was The Night

hoy os presento un disco recopilatorio que me tiene enganchado desde hace una semana.

El disco es un compendio enorme de grandes artistas que se unen en torno a una causa social como es el SIDA.

La Red Hot Organization es quien está detrás de todo el proyecto y quien ha ido buscando el dinero para financiarlo durante más de 20 años. Esta referencia que ahora presenta la ONG junto a la discográfica independiente 4AD se titula Dark Was The Night y viene en formato de lujo, con grandes artistas.

El álbum consiste en un doble disco o en un triple vinilo, según el formato que prefiramos, con 32 canciones exclusivas.

Una oportunidad única para poder escuchar nuevos temas de Bon Sufjan Stevens, Beirut, Arcade Fire o Yo La Tengo, entre muchos otros grupos. Un recopilatorio, que al margen de su loable causa, promete ser una referencia a tener dentro de cualquier discoteca personal. Pitchfork ya se ha aventurado a definirlo como “The most indie tracklist quite possibly ever”.

"It started back in the early 1990s with Just Like Alice, raw pop songs being belted out in the pubs of North East England - chunky guitars, manic violin and glorious trumpet.

Then, after a few comings and goings and a name change it was Tickety-Boo - ‘sweet, not sickly boy girl vocals’, more violin and a highly regarded EP.
Then came the court case when Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and his publishers took exception to the Ticketys dropping a snatch of one of his most famous tunes into their anthemic ‘Cantona’.

The band taunted the lawyers, the lawyers headed North and it all ended up at the High Court. It ended in inevitable defeat - ‘they fought the lord, the lord won’ and the band crumbled away.

Minutos Musicales: Elvis Perkins In Dearland

hoy os presento un disco de un cantautor que estará el próximo martes 7 de abril tocando en la sala El Sol de Madrid: Elvis Perkins

Proviene de USA y su estilo podría dividirse entre americana y folk intimista. Su primer disco me gustó bastante pero este me gusta aún más.
Estos son sus datos básicos......

Elvis Perkins (nacido el 9 de febrero de 1976 en Estados Unidos) es un cantautor y guitarrista de folk pop indie. Su estilo musical ha sido comparado con el de cantautores clásicos como Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Van Morrison y Nick Drake, y con otros más cercanos en el tiempo como Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith, Micah P. Hinson y Eef Barzelay, líder de Clem Snide. El nombre de su banda de acompañamiento es «Elvis Perkins in Dearland» y está compuesta por Brighman Brough al contrabajo, Wyndham Boyland-Garnett a los teclados y Nicholas Kinsey a la batería.

La vida privada y los orígenes familiares del artista son mencionados frecuentemente al referirse a él, ya que es hijo del actor Anthony Perkins, fallecido a consecuencia del SIDA cuando Elvis contaba con 17 años, y de la fotógrafa de moda Berry Berenson, que murió en el vuelo 11 de American Airlines durante los atentados del 11-S. Su tía materna es la modelo y actriz Marisa Berenson y su bisabuela también por parte materna fue la influyente diseñadora de moda italiana Elsa Schiaparelli, conocida por sus diseños surrealistas y por colaborar con artistas como Salvador Dalí o Jean Genet. Otros de sus ascendentes célebres fueron el astrónomo Giovanni Schiaparelli y el historiador de arte Bernard Berenson. El hermano de Elvis es el actor Oz Perkins.

Biografía
Elvis Perkins pasó su infancia y adolescencia entre Nueva York y Los Ángeles y desarrolló una temprana afición por la música que le llevó a aprender a tocar el saxofón siendo un niño. Ya en la adolescencia recibió clases de guitarra del bajista de The Knack Prescott Niles y participó en varios grupos de rock. En esa época descubrió la música de Simon & Garfunkel, lo que hizo que se interesarse por la guitarra clásica y por la combinación entre música y poesía, comenzando a escribir poemas que integraría gradualmente en sus canciones.

Durante su paso por la universidad empezó a componer y grabar en maquetas caseras las primeras canciones que incorporaría en su álbum de debut, Ash Wednesday (XL Recordings, 2007). El disco se grabó en 2006 en los estudios Burbank en Los Angeles junto a una banda formada por varios de sus amigos bautizada como «Elvis Perkins in Dearland»Las canciones del disco se ordenaron cronológicamente, desde la canción más antigua -While You Were Sleeping- hasta la más reciente -Good Friday-, estando la primera mitad de ellas compuestas antes del 11-S. y el resto tras esa fecha. En el álbum, Perkins transformaría sus circunstancias personales en letras melancólicas y esperanzadas con tintes surrealistas, empleando como recurso frecuente las alusiones a los sueños y al vuelo.

Ash Wednesday recibió una buena acogida por parte de la crítica musical y los dos discos sencillos extraídos del álbum fueron While You Were Sleeping y All the Night Without Love, cuya canción titular fue regrabada con el productor Chris Shaw, conocido por sus trabajos para Bob Dylan y Public Enemy. Tras la publicación de su debut, Perkins y su banda han actuado en directo con grupos como Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, My Morning Jacket o Pernice Brothers entre otros. Asimismo su tema Moon Woman II ha sido incluido en la banda sonora de Fast Food Nation y While You Were Sleeping fue utilizada en un episodio de la cuarta temporada de la serie The O.C.

Por su parte, su banda Dearland también ha acompañado como sección de viento en directo a los mencionados Clap Your hands Say Yeah y My Morning Jacket bajo el nombre de «Dearland Horns». En esta faceta, Wyndham Boyland-Garnett se ocupa del trombón, Brigham Brough del saxofón y Nick Kinsey del clarinete."

Minutos Musicales: Yeyés a Babor !!

El próximo 28 de Marzo vamos a vivir todos un día grande en Getafe... venir todos a la fiesta !! Yeyés a Babor !!

Pocas palabras son necesarias al contemplar el fantástico cartel de lo que será la próxima fiesta organizada por Minutos Musicales. En su momento ya tuvimos una fiesta 60s, y una fiesta 80s.... pero el próximo día 28 tendremos una FIESTA YEYÉ.... con todo lo que ello significa.

El evento se celebrará, como ya es habitual, en el Sgt. Peppers de Getafe (calle Cuestas Altas número 6, Getafe - Madrid) el próximo sábado 28 de marzo a las 22:00. Unos pocos podremos disfrutar antes de la prueba de sonido de los grupos y de la cena que para tal ocasión estamos preparando.

Los 2 grupos que harán las delicias de los asistentes son:

Band A Part. Esta es su historia:

Una soleada tarde de verano, dos perfectos desconocidos tomaban vermouth en una terraza en Saint Tropez. La agradable temperatura y los efectos del balsámico cocktail, fueron quizá los motivos que llevaron a Jean Paul a entablar conversación con Marie, la cual dicho sea de paso, no mostró ninguna reticencia. Fue en el climax de su conversación cuando una pareja de gendarmes irrumpieron en el lugar, confundiendo a nuestros amigos con dos famosos y peligrosos atracadores de bancos. Desde ese momento, Jean Paul y Marie viven en una continua escapada que les obligó incluso a cambiar de nombre por los de Javi y Coral. En su intento por pasar desapercibidos de la justicia, se hacen pasar por un conjunto musical llamado Band a Part. Actualmente se encuentran recorriendo el mundo junto a su banda, desde Liverpool a Torremolinos, pasando por Kyoto.

Aline & The Splendids

En 2007 Aline Beaudoux inicia su aventura musical junto a Martín Dalla y Max Flowers con lo que fue la primera demo de Aline & The Splendids. Los tres temas de los que se componía tuvieron muy buena acogida y la maqueta fue seleccionada entre las mejores de 2007 por la revista musical Mondo Sonoro. En diciembre del mismo año grabaron su segunda maqueta 'Party! with the Splendids'. Unos meses después, en marzo de 2008, completan su formación actual al incorporarse a la banda Sergio Valdehita y Martín Muollo.

Con esta segunda entrega el grupo ha tenido una gran aceptación en los medios de música independiente españoles, con multitud de reseñas y una nueva mención entre lo mejor de 2008 en la publicación Mondo Sonoro. Aline & The Splendids han sido portada de la revista RockIsRoll y protagonistas de artículos en webs como JeNeSaisPop , Pabelia, La Comunidad de ElPais.com o Spinner. Han gozado de cobertura radiofónica en Francia, Estados Unidos, México, Bélgica y Argentina, así como en emisoras españolas, como Radio3 convirtiéndose en habituales dentro de la programación de 'Flor de Pasión' de Juan de Pablos o 'Disco Grande' de Julio Ruiz, donde su maqueta quedó en el podio de lo mejor del año 2008 por votación de los oyentes.

Su canción ‘Dancehall’ forma parte del recopilatorio ‘Come on Lucinda!’ de Lucinda Records editado a finales de 2008. Aline & The Splendids, afincados en Madrid, han presentado su contundente directo por una larga lista de salas y escenarios de la capital: Barbarella Pop Club, El Naranja, Zanzíbar, La Pequeña Bety, Silikona, Moby Dick, Costello Club, Forum Fnac Plaza Norte o Siroco. Han formado parte del cartel de las fiestas Creampop de Benisssa (Alicante) y empiezan a moverse airosos por el territorio nacional con actuaciones en Submarino (Cáceres), Sgt. Pepper's Club Café (Getafe), etc…

Musicalmente declarados amantes de Elvis Presley, desarrollan una muy interesante propuesta dentro del pop actual conjugando a la perfección estilos clásicos como el rock’n'roll, el soul de bases disco, el ska jamaicano… Autenticidad y originalidad transformadas en toda una fiesta de ritmo y color. Que decir de este genio nacional. Creo que lo mejor que puedo hacer es dejar la reseña de la fiesta del 30 aniversario de su programa de radio 3 "Flor de Pasión". Eminencia absoluta en la música de los 50 y 60 en nuestro pais.

"Por favor, que alguien haga un monumento a Juan de Pablos.

Era la primera vez que asistía al aniversario de Flor de Pasión (se celebraban los 30 años en antena de este mítico programa de radio 3) y por ende, la primera vez que asistía a una sesión en directo del Dj Juan de Pablos.

La realidad supera con creces la imaginación y es por eso que ya entiendo perfectamente el porqué este hombre genera tantas pasiones y es capaz por sí solo de juntar a un elenco de grupos y artistas que de otra forma sería imposible reunir.

Los nombres de los artistas por si solos ya impresionan: Alberto MATE plays MATE, PLASTIC, ESCARLATINAS & CRISTINA GEORGINA!, Uccellacci e Uccellini (by Charlie Mysterio), Navy Blue, Amigos Imaginarios, Aline & The Splendids, Second Coming, Elurretan, La Monja Enana, Cola Jet Set, Souvenir, Airbag, Mittens, L Kang y La Casa Azul.

Pero no nos engañemos... el verdadero artista del pasado fin de semana fue sin lugar a dudas el maravilloso Juan de Pablos. Su actitud, sus movimientos, sus introducciones a los grupos... verle disfrutar cada instante en su fiesta homenaje fue algo realmente impagable.

Me sentía como un espectador anónimo que disfrutaba de un acontecimiento único. Todos los que allí estabamos sólo podiamos dar las gracias a un maestro del 'saber sentir y vivir' la música, una pasión que él expresa con cada segundo que pasa.

Su actitud fue excepcional... nos recibió nervioso.. como para no estarlo... y poco a poco se fue calentando. Estuvo en primera línea bailando todos y cada uno de los conciertos que se sucedieron tanto el viernes como el sábado... aplaudiendo, bailando, mirando las reacciones del respetable, cantando... sólo necesitaba un espacio reducido para sentir cada canción como si la cantara él mismo.

Continuas muestras de cariño de la gente que se acercaba, abrazos, besos, regalos en forma de discos, maquetas, piropos de los grupos entre canción y canción... y un setlist dedicado especialmente a él, con canciones que le hicieron disfrutar más alla de lo imaginable.

Y después de varias horas de conciertos, comenzaba a ejercer como Dj... y que Dj, madre mia. Siente lo que hace y nos lo expresa con todo el cariño que es capaz de dar. Una fiesta Yeyé que se sucedió durante 2 días..... cuando yo ya no podía más el seguía bailando y cantando las canciones que pinchaba en la cabina... un auténtico ídolo de cualquier fan al que le guste la música.

Asi que hoy sólo quiero que alguien le haga un monumento a este señor, porque él se lo merece y a mí me ha enseñado una lección magistral de cómo saber disfrutar con aquello que te gusta."

Minutos Musicales: Bishop Allen

este grupo (Bishop Allen) ya nos sorprendió en la recopilación de Minutos Musicales del 2007 con una canción de nombre 'Click, Click, Click, Click', que simulaba el tomar fotos de forma gratuita desde la cámara, el móvil, la PDA o cualquier otro dispositivo al uso.

Este mes acaba de publicar el album 'Grrr...', que anticipa una evolución lógica en su trayectoría. Melodías más estiradas en el tiempo y sonidos más bailabes y digeribles. En algunas canciones se acompaña de un cuarteto de cuerda, o de unas trompetas o incluso de una voz femenina en la canción 'True of False'. Matices que le dan un sonido digamosle 'calexico' a alguna de sus composiciones.

Espero que con este avance, desde mi punto de vista positivo, se mejore el directo, que entiendo que debería darse en un formato de sala pequeña y una mayor cercanía al público.

Minutos Musicales: M. Ward

labor multidisciplicar hace este cantautor y guitarrista de Oregon, combinando diversos proyectos con un alto grado de calidad. Empezó su carrera en solitario allá por 1999 con la publicación de su primer disco "Duet for Guitars #2".

Ha tenido colaboraciones con múltiples artistas: Cat Power, Beth Orton, Bright Eyes, My Morning Jacket... e incluso se hizo una gira con REM y Bruce Springsteen en unas elecciones en los USA.

Pero quizá lo que más renombre le ha dado últimamente ha sido la formación del grupo 'She And Him' junto con la actriz Zooey Deschanel. Su album de debut "Volume One" se podría considerar uno de los mejor considerados en el pasado 2008 teniendo tal repercusión que incluso presentaron sus canciones junto a Yo La Tengo en el show de Conan O´Brien.

Hoy os presento su último trabajo, de nombre 'Hold Time'.... majestuoso, respetuoso, atemporal, reposado. Un disco para escuchar con tranquilidad, con tiempo suficiente para deleitarse con cada canción.
Un último apunte. La canción favorita del señor Ward es 'Amazing Grace'.... curioso, verdad?

"His solo debut Duet for Guitars #2 was released by Howe Gelb on his Ow Om record label. Ward's 2001 album, End of Amnesia, was put out by Future Farmer Records. A collection of live recordings, Live Music & The Voice of Strangers, was a self-released disc that was sold at his shows in 2001. His subsequent albums have been released on Merge Records.

He has guested on recordings by Cat Power, Beth Orton (with whom he co-wrote the title track to her album Comfort of Strangers), The Court & Spark, Bright Eyes (with whom he toured on the 2004 Vote For Change tour with R.E.M. and Bruce Springsteen), Jenny Lewis (whose debut solo album Rabbit Fur Coat he co-produced), and My Morning Jacket.

In 2006, he contributed a song to, and helped produce the John Fahey tribute album I Am the Resurrection. He also appears on Norah Jones' album Not Too Late, performing backing vocals and guitar on "Sinkin' Soon", and toured as the opener and a member of her "Handsome Band" for the album in the spring of 2007. Also his cover of David Bowie's song "Let's Dance" is featured on the soundtrack of the 2007 New Zealand film Eagle vs Shark. Ward was previously a member of the band Rodriguez with Kyle Field of Little Wings. Their album Swing Like a Metronome was released in 2000 and produced by Jason Lytle of Grandaddy.

In 2004 Ward played guitar for Bright Eyes on a taping of The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. During the performance, Bright Eyes' singer Conor Oberst yelled out "M. Ward for President!" This prompted Newsweek to run an article on Ward and his next album Transistor Radio.

In 2006, he released Post-War, which was described by Vanity Fair in its August 2006 issue as thematic on the question "How will America heal once this craziness in Iraq is over?" Ward said in that article that he looked to the post-war music of the late 1940s and 50s. "I had the naive, simplistic idea that producers and writers and artists of the time helped in a minuscule way to change the mind-set of America". The album was released on Merge Records and features cameo performances by Howe Gelb, Jim James and Neko Case. From the music blog It's Hard To Find A Friend: "According to the Omaha City Weekly: ...Also with recording plans for the winter is Conor Oberst. Beginning in the new year, Oberst is slated to begin recording two new albums — one a solo record in Mexico (the album is self titled "Conor Oberst") with Jake Bellows playing a role and another with a new band being formed with M Ward". [1] In 2006, Ward recorded a duet with actress Zooey Deschanel, which collaboration resulted in the formation of the band She & Him[1]. The duo's album Volume One — which Ward produced — was released on Merge Records on March 18, 2008. Ward and Deschanel performed (along with Yo La Tengo) on Late Night with Conan O'Brien on April 22, 2008. Returning from She & Him duties, M. Ward has released his sixth solo studio album, Hold Time, on February 17th 2009."

si alguien tiene por objetivo traerse algún grupo a tocar a España y no sabe cual... que por favor coja a este: The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart

Primer album de esta banda afincada en New York. En el 2007 sacaron un primer EP del mismo nombre del grupo; en 2008 salió el 7" 'Searching for the Now Vol. 4' junto a Summer Cats y en 2009 el EP 'Everything with You'.

No hay palabras para expresar la belleza de este disco... todas las canciones son pura fuerza y energía. Esto es 'PoP' y la compra del vinino y del cd se hace necesaria. Os dejo un par de muestras de lo que este grupo lleva tiempo ofreciendo. Recordad únicamente que este grupo ya formó parte de la recopilación con lo mejor del 2007 con su canción 'This Love Is Fucking Right'.

"The New York indie pop quartet the Pains of Being Pure at Heart built up a pretty rabid fan base in the indie pop community prior to the release of their self-titled debut record in early 2009. For this, they could thank a string of excellent singles and EPs that began in 2007 (songs from which appear on the album) but more than that they can put it down to the fact that their sound melds together the trademarked sounds of many beloved indie and noise pop bands into one shiny ball of sound and melancholy. Mixed in skillfully are the sonic assaults of early My Bloody Valentine, the hazy sweetness of Ride, the introspective and usually morose lyrical approach perfected by the Field Mice, the sensitive and tender vocals purveyed by most Sarah records bands, and the rhythmic drive of early-'90s Amer-Indie bands the likes of which more often than not found themselves on Slumberland (Lilys, the Ropers, Velocity Girl — whose Archie Moore ably mixes the album). It all could come off like a pastiche with little more than nostalgic value but the band acts as if it were the first time anyone ever captured this kind of sound, never sitting back and aping the past but instead giving it a healthy boost. Plus, they write some very good songs. "Come Saturday," "This Love Is Fucking Right!" (their answer to the Field Mice's "This Love Is Not Wrong"), or "Young Adult Friction" all would have been in serious rotation on a hip college radio station in 1992. Best of all is the amazingly hooky "Everything with You," which stands as the equal of anything the shoegaze poppers or pop losers cranked out back in the day. If you had gone out and bought the 7," after one play you would have tacked the sleeve up on your wall and played the record until the grooves wore out. It's that good. It lifts the album from pretty good to almost great. A little more variation from song to song, a little more of their own sound, or another song or two as compelling as the best stuff here and the POBPAH's debut would have been classic. Settling for impressive is fair enough and good enough for fans of loud, fuzzy, and heartfelt indie noise pop."

"The problem with indie-pop is that regardless of how seamlessly or impressively you fuse the two elements together, it still loses its steam at some point during the listening process.

The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart attempt a stab at the aforementioned genre with their eponymous debut and almost manage to get away with an entire L.Ps worth of inoffensive joviality but, unfortunately, it just manages to stop itself mid-sprint and become a panting, sweaty mess before the last seconds fade.

What’s immediately noticeable about the record is that the band are actually pretty talented and well-suited to what they’re playing. The guitar is jangly and loose the entire time, evoking a Shins-but-not-quite rhythm to the music. Likewise, the percussion never overpowers a single track which, for an indie-pop record is a surprise in itself. Hints of lo-fi, dream-like distortion wash over the background of the entire album, creating a solid standing block for the rest of the music to balance on. It’s all impressively tight and foot tappingly enjoyable but it’s also glaringly thin and falls into the trap of 'same is better' instead of 'better is diversity'.

All the tracks sound relatively similar and there’s not a single song that attempts anything experimental throughout the entire duration of the album. The final track manages to stick one cautious limb out of the box but still doesn’t do much else besides fiddle with the 'epic' knobs and buttons: and only an inch more than anything before it. Considering the overall duration of the record twiddles its thumbs around the half an hour mark, it’s really disappointing to tire of the music after only four or five full listens.

The album needs an anchor, something to keep bringing people back. There’s nary a single memorable track on the album and even though the music is as impressive as it is, that isn’t enough to warrant continuous listens to something, that, ultimately goes nowhere.

Contender, Young Adult Friction, Stay Alive and Come Saturday are all insanely catchy and well produced slices of perfectly made indie-pop and are all honestly better than half of the stuff you hear on the radios today. The Tenure Itch is almost a gentle paddle into the waters of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah vocalism but apart from that, there’s just not much else the band seem capable of doing.

If you like your music intelligently simple and care-free then this album should already be in your possession, it does exactly what it sets out to do and does it with ease. If however, you veer towards a deeper and more challenging listen then we’d seriously recommend you divert your attention elsewhere."

Minutos Musicales 2008 - Best Of (3 CDs)

finalmente sale a la luz la recopilación de Minutos Musicales con lo mejor del 2008.
3 CDs que espero hagan las delicias de muchos de vosotros.

Mucho se puede hablar de este año que ha pasado y que en lineas generales ha sido mucho más prolijo que el año pasado.
Antes de empezar los comentarios, deciros que sin la ayuda de mi esposa Eva (parte ineludible de The Wedding Djs), esta recopilación no habría podido hacerse. ;-D

1. Destacamos inicialmente la evolución que han tenido grupos que han sabido incorporar nuevos sonidos que se podrían calificar como 'étnicos' o 'indios'. Entre ellos podemos encontrar a The Ruby Suns, Vampire Weekend o Fleet Foxes. Con esta combinación se han aupado a los primeros puestos de las recopilaciones de los medios musicales.

2. Muchos otros grupos han destacado por una frescura inusitada, bien porque incorporan sabiamente sonidos de épocas pasadas (Eli Paperboy Reed & The True Loves o Kitty, Daisy & Lewis) o porque saben reinterpretar los sonidos que ya todos conocemos y darles una magistral vuelta de tueca (The Last Shadow Puppets) o por ser emocionalmente intensos (Bon Iver).

3. Un apartado realmente masivo de este triple recopilatorio es lo que se conoce como Twee Pop... música fresca, bailable, de ritmo fácil y de sencilla digestión. Escucharla es poder disfrutarla directamente. Quizá este sea el género con el que más me identifico y es por eso que tiene una amplia cobertura en estos cds. Entre los grupos englobados en este género tenemos a Twig, The Zebras, She and Him, The Lodger, Bubblegum Lemonade, Hari and Aino, Northern Portrait, Pocketbooks, Slow Down Tallahassee, The Carrots, This is Ivy League, Ballboy, The Mountain Goats, Speedmarket Avenue, Days, The Wave Pictures, Pelle Carlberg, Ally Kerr, Fosca, The Ruling Class, Strawberry Fair, M.J. Hibbett And The Validators, M83, Nothern Fields, Bedroom Eyes o Tellus About The Moon.

4. Tampoco dejamos atrás en este recopilatorio del 2008 aquellas canciones de grupos ya grandes de por sí: The Wedding Present, The Cure, Yann Tiersen, Death Cab for Cutie, Micah P. Hinson, Brian Wilson o The Magnetic Fields. Fantásticos sonidos para el pasado año.

5. Otros grupos practicamente desconocidos han sido salpicados por el mainstream en el 2008, y alguno de ellos ha sido objeto de múltiples titulares de revistas. Aquí dejo las que a mi parecer son las mejores canciones de los grupos MGMT, Russian Red o Those Dancing Days.

6. También rescatamos temas antiguos que han sido publicados en discos del 2008, como puede ser el 'Monkey Man' de Amy Winehouse o 'Meerkat' de Yo La Tengo.

7. Y por último, en el apartado nacional destacamos a Sr. Chinarro, Band A Part, Espaldamaceta, Nacho Vegas y la ya conocidísima Lourdes cantando bajo el pseudónimo de Russian Red.

Resumen sencillo en base a las canciones que están en estos 3 cds.
Pero hemos vivido tanto que se hace difícil expresar lo que fué el año 2008 en palabras.

Además, esta iniciativa no son sólo palabras. Son sentimientos, emociones, vivir la vida disfrutando cada instante... y todo a través de la música que te gusta, de esos grupos que vas a ver en directo. Minutos Musicales intenta ser un soplo de aire fresco, una bocanada de energía pop que sea capaz de recorrer tu cuerpo y hacerte disfrutar y preguntarte por la música que se escucha aquí.

Espero que disfruteis y os guste la selección... realmente deciros que está hecha con el corazón. ;-D

En breve os contaremos más cosas... porque este 2009 será un año en el que Minutos Musicales se expande y comenzamos a organizar fiestas de magnitud..... las 2 primeras en marzo y ya estamos pensando en la siguiente para primeros de Mayo. Ya os diremos más. ;-D

Minutos Musicales: Felices Fiestas con Ballboy

Minutos Musicales os desea que paseis unos días fantásticos, plagados de la compañía de la gente que os quiere.

Y para celebrar estos días que vienen, os dejamos música en mayúsculas: Ballboy.
Gracias a una amiga hoy puedo disfrutar del último cd de este grupo de Edimburgo (gracias Claudia)... un lujo para los sentidos... y que me encantaría compartir con vosotros.

El año que viene verá la luz el doble CD de Minutos Musicales con lo mejor del 2008, el DVD con toda lo recopilado este año en Minutos Musicales (que es mucho) y haremos públicas las fiestas que hemos estado organizando durante los últimos meses y que me han hecho no poder enviar tanta música como me hubiera gustado.

El 2009 se presenta lleno lleno de sorpresas. Estad atentos. ;-D

Minutos Musicales: Hari And Aino

os presento a uno de esos grupos que dará mucho que hablar el año que viene: Hari And Aino.

Grupo sueco con una corta trayectoria a sus espaldas: 1 disco (que hoy os presentamos) y 1 EP, aunque en breve sacarán otro EP.
Su música hace que nos embriaguemos hasta límites insospechados... pop melódico con sencillas y conmovedoras melodías. Twee pop en estado puro y que hoy nos deleita.

"Despite the name, Hari and Aino is not a duo but a quintet from Stockholm, Sweden. The band started out in late 2006 and released the EP "Your heartache and mine" on Cloudberry Records in july 2007. The debut album "Hari and Aino" was released on march 15th 2008 on Plastilina Records. Hari and Aino is releasing the single "A considerate kind of home" at the end of 2008, also on Cloudberry Records. Work has already strarted on a second album which is yet not scheduled for a release, but the spring of 2009 will see the band doing live shows all over Europe. Hari and Ainos sound is often descibed as a very melodic pop with vocals lending inspiration from bands such as Blondie and The Long Blondes, but with janglier guitars.

Minutos Musicales: Yo La Tengo

pocos grupos tienen la sutileza de hacer música perfecta... y este que hoy os vuelvo a presentar es sin lugar a dudas uno de ellos.

Y para hacerla no necesita de grandes guitarras, ni sonidos atronadores, ni ritmos frenéticos.... sólo se necesita tener claro lo que se quiere transmitir y expresarlo en cada nota, en cada compás, en la sucesión milimétrica de cada tema. Y este disco que se presenta es una recopilación de la música para bandas sonoras que ha realizado Yo La Tengo... sonidos majestuosos como ninguno.

Grupo de 12, una auténtico lujo tenerles de nuevo en esta lista y poder compartir con vosotros lo que es la música en mayúsculas.

Yo La Tengo - They Shoot, We Score

"Tomadlo como lo que es: un cd que los propios Yo La Tengo saben que no forma parte de su discografía oficial. En el fondo, es casi un regalo para sus fans: recopilar las bandas sonoras que el grupo ha hecho para cuatro películas. Game 6, Old Joy, Junebug y Shortbus.

Así que nada de echarse las manos a la cabeza si lo que hay en el disco no os convence: lo que contiene They Shoot, We Score (grandísimo juego de palabras el del título) son en su mayoría pequeñas piezas instrumentales que poco aportaran al libro de estilo de la banda. De hecho, algunas de ellas incluso están inspiradas directamente en canciones de la discografía oficial. Es el caso de los temas incluidos en Junebug, varios de los cuáles son hijos putativos de ‘Green Arrow’, el precioso instrumental que en I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One pintaba con música las noches de un verano cualquiera al aire libre.

En el fondo, lo que Yo La Tengo hacen en sus bandas sonoras es jugar con algunas de sus obsesiones musicales. En todos sus discos han mostrado inclinación a pequeñas piezas cortas, sin voz, generalmente apacibles, con mucha capacidad para transmitir clama y relajación. Aquí lo hacen una y otra vez, pero no suena aburrido, sino en forma de pequeños esbozos de emoción.

Por supuesto, nada es trascendente ni está a la altura de sus momentos más memorables. Pero se agradece que exista un grupo como los de Hoboken, capaz de tratar con cariño hasta sus obras más pequeñas. Gracias a ellos, los momentos “fan compulsivo” que me asaltan de vez en cuando para darme el capricho de comprarme discos como éste nunca se traducen en mala leche al escucharlos.

De Yo La Tengo te puedes fiar siempre. A ver de cuántos grupos puedo decir lo mismo."

Planazo el día 22 de Noviembre.

Primero tenemos el concierto de Lisabö + Inoren Ero Ni en Moby Dick Club - Madrid 10€ a las 21:00.

Tras el llenazo absoluto que se dio el 16 de febrero en Moby Dick, Lisabö quieren ir despidiendo su gira 2008 sin perder la oportunidad de volver a pasar por las entrañas de la ballena, donde, además de ofrecer un concierto de categoría, tuvieron un reencuentro muy agradable e inolvidable con el público madrileño después de 7 años sin visitar la capital.

Esta vez les acompañarán los también vascos y compañeros de sello Inoren Ero Ni, grupo formado por miembros de Bap!! y Purr.

Y después de este concierto, nos vamos a La Pequeña Bety. Por 7 €uros nos metemos de lleno a un homenaje a los Kinks.

El 22 de noviembre de 1968 los Kinks publicaban su album "Village Green Preservation Society" y con motivo del 40 aniversario de la publicación de este disco de los Kinks, Jose Casas y miembros de su banda Jose Casas y la pistola de papá, y otros dos músicos rinden homenaje a la banda británica montando la banda paralela "VILLAGE GREEN EXPERIENCE", donde recrean las canciones de dicho album y sus grandes canciones.

Me han chivado además que existirá la colaboración especial de componentes de bandas de la capital como: Los Imposibles, Fortune Tellers, Delco, Sara de Rubia, The Seasong, Sr Miyagi que se sumaran a la fiesta intrepretando junto a The Village Green Experience algunos temas.

Asi que el 22 no hay excusa para no salir.

Minutos Musicales: Bon Iver

aquí os presento a Bon Iver, nombre de guerra de la banda del cantautor indie Justin Velmon. El nombre proviene de la forma de convertir al inglés (anglicismo) la frase 'bon hiver' francesa que signifca "buen viento":

Este grupo ya tiene un album en el mercado titulado "For Emma, Forever Ago" publicado en 2007. Curiosamente cuando toca en directo este album hace que el público coree las canciones porque no se puede simular en directo la cantidad de voces que se pusieron al grabar el disco...

Yo tengo un grato recuerdo de su última actuación aquí en España. Fué a propósito del Primavera Sound... y se pudo ver la calidad de este señor en temas como estos:






"While in high school and college, Vernon founded bands Mount Vernon and DeYarmond Edison, both indie-rock bands from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where he still resides. DeYarmond Edison consisted of Vernon, Brad and Phil Cook, and Joe Westerlund. After a long period of success in the Eau Claire music scene, the four band mates decided to leave their longtime home and move to Raleigh, North Carolina to try their musical hand in a new place. The band released two records themselves, the first self-titled and the second titled "Silent Signs" and an EP of unreleased material is available on their myspace page. After nearly a year in Raleigh, Vernon left for Wisconsin after a breakup with the band and a girlfriend. The remaining members of DeYarmond Edison went on to form a new band called Megafaun and remain good friends with Vernon.

Live Performances
Justin Vernon is joined live by Sean Carey (drums, vocals, piano, vibes) and Mike Noyce (vocals, baritone guitar, guitar). Noyce was Vernon's guitar student during high school while Carey approached Vernon during one of the first Bon Iver shows telling him he could play and sing all the songs after which the two played a number of them together.

Because of the large amounts of dubbing over in the For Emma, Forever Ago album, Justin Vernon was concerned that there would not be enough voices to duplicate the sound of the songs on the album. To compensate for this problem, Bon Iver gave lyrics for some songs to the audience to sing along to during shows. In an interview with Pitchfork, Vernon described his dilemma. "I don't want to be the guy with an acoustic guitar singing songs, because that's boring for the most part. The song actually needs 80-500 people singing or whatever the vibe is of that room, it needs that fight".

For Emma, Forever Ago
After the breakup of a band, relationship, and bout with sickness, Vernon left Raleigh and moved back to Wisconsin spending three months in his father's cabin in the woods of northern Wisconsin. He did not intend to write or record any music during the time but rather to recuperate from the events of the previous year. Eventually a record began to evolve during this cathartic time of isolation.

Vernon had recently finished helping the band The Rosebuds do some recording and had with him some basic recording gear when he made his move to the cabin. Vernon played all the instruments during recording and each song was heavily edited with a large number of overdubs. Vernon wrote most of the lyrics for the album by recording a word-less melody and listening to the recording over and over and writing words according to the sound of the syllables of the melody.

The record was almost not released and was originally intended as a group of demos to be sent out to labels and potentially rerecorded. But after getting very encouraging reactions from a number his friends, Vernon decided to release the songs himself in their present state [6] After significant positive reception, helped by word of mouth and its popularity throughout the blogosphere, Vernon decided to sign to the indie label Jagjaguwar which subsequently gave the album a proper release."

Minutos Musicales: Speedmarket Avenue

segundo disco de los suecos Speedmarket Avenue.

Ellos se autodefinen como "colectivo de música pop dirigido por un tipo pequeño que parece un cruce entre Charles Manson y Marc Bolan". Jangle-pop con preciosos arreglos de viento, interpretado con frescura y emoción.

Multitud de singles se esconden en este album ("Way Better Now", "Accident", "Sirens"...). Un disco que es de reposo necesario, para tomar pausadamente y para meditar en la soledad de uno, sus casos y la música. Melodías sencillas, perennes y que seguro que forman parte ya de la discoteca de más de uno. No nos olvidaremos de este disco a final de año, claro que no.

SPEEDMARKET AVENUE was formed in the Swedish city of Norrkoping, when four friends who were playing for awhile together already, Isak Klasson (vocalist, guitarist), Thomas Holm (guitarist), Magnus Lundin (bassist) y Tom Wikström (drummer) recruited the efforts of a new musician, Johan Angantyr (organ player, trumpet player, vocalist) to form a new band.

2002
It did not take long for the release of the first vinyl single on Modesto Records, “Is anything ever done?,” which includes four beautiful, well-rounded songs, one of them being, “I can tell by her eyes” to come out.

At the end of this year, the British label Track and Field Organization (European home for bands such as THE CLIENTELE, THE BROKEN FAMILY BAND, HERMAN DÜNE, THE ESSEX GREEN, OF MONTREAL and THE LADYBUG TRANSISTOR among others and refuge to the greatest musical lovers of melodies from the 60’s) invited them for their first concert outside of their country, in London, as the opening act for one of the collective bands of psychedelic pop: THE GREAT LAKES.

2003
“I can tell by her eyes”, which will later become part of their debut album, is their first hit amongst critics and fans, and this song quickly is put on rotation on the Swedish Public Radio.

They toured through Germany and recorded a session for the prestigious national radio program, P3 POP, where bands such as EL PERRO DEL MAR, CARIBOU and JENS LEKMAN had performed, as well.

Various songs are put out on distinct compilations: “I can tell by her eyes” is released on “Sonically Speaking #10”, a CD which comes from the well-known Swedish musical magazine, Sonic Magazine (along with bands such as THE RAVEONETTES, ED HARCOURT, EVAN DANDO and NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS), and “You set the terms” on “Mjuk i Mössan” a comp published this same year via the famous Swedish festival, Emmaboda, where bands such as COMET GAIN, THE RADIO DEPT., FLOTATION TOY WARNING, THE ESSEX GREEN, SLEATER-KINNEY and YEAH YEAH YEAHS performed.

They lavished through Swedish stages and also performed in festivals such as Pop Dakar (in Stockholm), Sommarfesten (in Hässleholm) and We & You (in Malmö) where they played with JOSÉ GONZALEZ, THE BEAR QUARTET and BALLBOY, just to name a few. The group also shared the stage with PLUXUS and with HEIKKI. This last festival proved to be fruitful in the upcoming years as HEIKKI is the band formed by the couple, Maria Ericsson (guitarist and singer of THE CONCRETES) and Jari Haapalainen (guitarist of THE BEAR QUARTET,and famed producer). They also shared the stage in Sweden with MATES OF STATE and RADIO DEPT.

All of this led up to the recording of their first album, under the production of Fredrik Norberg (ex-POPSICLE).

2004
"I’m going to let my new swiss army knife answer to that" is released at the beginning of 2004 on the label Fickle Fame. Their first album demonstrates that they are a band with a perfect concept of melodies, which sound a bit like THE AISLERS SET or THE FAIRWAYS: jangle-pop with precious wind arrangements, played with freshness and emotion, as shown in songs like “You set the terms” with the incredible and addictive riff which reminds one of the sunshine pop from the sixties, “Leave.Now.” and the final crescendo which is evidence that a band can intelligently unite intensity and melody, the previous mentioned, “I can tell by her eyes” is an immediate pill popper with the unforgettable trumpet or the punk-pop flavor of “He’s a rebel”.

Precisely, “He’s a rebel” is released on 7” as the hit single, with “What do you know now?” and “Talking about moving on” as the B sides of the single..

Kristian Rosengren (AEROSPACE, THE LEGENDS) praised them to the skies: “Sensibility, melodies and amazing instrumentation. They have everything and are in abundance”

The prestigious record store, Rough Trade, remarked on their album debut: “Each song is a brilliant pop gem. If this album was published in the 80’s, 53rd and 3rd (label created by Stephen McRobbie of THE PASTELS and it’s where bands such as TALULAH GOSH, SHOP ASSISTANTS, BEAT HAPPENING, THE VASELINES and BMX BANDITS started out, just to name a few) would have put out this release.”

They performed in the festival Peace & Love (Borlänge) together with LAUREL MUSIC, JENS LEKMAN, MATTHIAS HELLBERG, NIKKI SUDDEN and LAST DAYS OF APRIL, among others.

Before the avalanche of events, changes in formation arrived quickly with Magnus Ludin leaving the band and Jesper Klein (bassist, pianist) and Sibille Attar (vocals) joining the group..

2005
They set off on their conquest of Europe with a four week tour where they shared stages with SATURDAY LOOKS GOOD TO ME. To celebrate, they published a 7” also on Fickle Fame, on the masculine side (boyside) the North Americans, and on the feminine side (girlside) the Swedes, with one of their songs to be their own classic, “The state of harmony,” in a different version which will later be released on their second album. On this song, the band introduces string instruments for the first time.

“He’s a rebel” is put out on two compilations “Records make great pets” (of the British label Stereo Test Kit), along with other great Swedish bands such as CLUB 8, SAMBASSADEUR, BRITTA PERSSON or EL PERRO DEL MAR, and “Songs we have learned to sing” (Velvet), with more illustrious Nordics such as PETER, BJÖRN AND JOHN.

The prestigious English webzine Tangents www.tangents.co.uk makes a mix of songs with some of the best songs of the year called “He’s a rebel”, precisely including the song of the Swedish group. Furthermore, important bands such as SURFJAN STEVENS, THE DECEMBERISTS, COMET GAIN, KICKER and PREFUSE 73 are also included.

The connection of Jari Haapalainen quickly takes effect. Filled to the top in producing (some of his work includes INTERNATIONAL NOISE CONSPIRACY, THE CONCRETES and ED HARCOURT) Haapalainen produced “Let’s get out of this country” for our beloved CAMERA OBSCURA, calling on Sibille and Isak to form part of the chorus with members of other Swedish groups such as THE CONCRETES, and participate in “If looks could kill” and “I need all the friends I can get”.

They perform in other concerts in Sweden (Festival Leetspeak in Stockholm), London and Glasgow together with bands such as LOVE IS ALL and BEARSUIT.

2006
They decide to concentrate on composing new songs. This year passes practically with nothing new: hardly a new performance in England after the second call from Track and Field Organization for their festival Pow to The People, a festival celebrated during Easter week in Camden (London), which is about to celebrate their 10th anniversary, which maintains the faithful line of sixties pop from their own British label, which bands such as CAMERA OBSCURA, ST. THOMAS and MAZARIN are on. The indie-mp3 portal www.indie-mp3.co.uk commented about their concert: “Precious pop songs, jokes with the crowd and are all smiles. Don’t you think this is what pop music should be?”

They shared stages with LUCKY SOUL and COMET GAIN.

With the intention of recording a new album, they strived hard throughout the whole year, but the chosen producer, Jari Haapalainen (according to them, Stephen from THE PASTELS recommended him- the circle closes!), demands that they compose more songs so that the selection may be more demanding and conscientious.

2007
The process is long and arduous, but finally in July and August of 2007, they entered to record with Jari in the studios Gröndal and Konst & Ramar, respectively. The result is “Way better now,” an album which makes them sign to Elefant Records. An album which shows a group with more advanced arrangements and melodies, versatile, with a pop-bearing flag and the sky being the limit; a band with their ideas very clear and above all, with an incredible collection of pop songs,including the marvelous “Accident” and titled song “Way better now,” and the recuperated, “The state of harmony” or “Don’t fall in love.”

2008
In January and under the new production of Jari Haapalainen, our group enters in the studios of Konst & Ramar to record three new songs; A version of “Dying in Africa” of the Swedish electro-pop and italo disco duo NICHOLAS MAKELBERGE and two of their own songs "When you fell" and "The new idea".

The countdown begins for the release of the single in April and their long awaited second album in May."
